Where to Get Leads and Recruits and Sell Books
by Ruth Smith & Nancy Ann Wartman

Do you know any people from these areas of your life?  Make a big list.  Then call each person and ask if they would be interested in getting free books by hosting a book show or hearing about this rewarding way to add income from home with Usborne Books. Don’t prejudge anyone and remember to ask everyone for referrals!  You want to let them make their own choices, if you don't offer Usborne to them then you're making the choice for them.

Ask for Referrals
** Search local newspapers, bulletin boards, school & church signs, etc. for events. Call the Chamber of Commerce for all nearby towns asking about events.

** IF you're an EC, call the schools nearby that are not already being serviced and ask if they have an event this year where families are invited. (could be a Spring Fling, Choir Concert, Art Show, Science Fair, Pizza Supper, Silent Auction, Carnival, Culture Celebration, Parent/Teacher Conference Day, etc.) Ask for the person organizing it & their phone number so you can offer your services. Call them and let them know you work with a great children's educational book company and that you would be glad to set up a book booth at their event. Usually there is a small booth fee, or they request a donation to their auction or school (a book perhaps), or they may just be glad to have the community involvement.

** Call doctors, specialists, pediatricians, & dentists offices offering to do an employee lounge bookfair earning free books for their waiting rooms.

** Call companies, banks, accounting offices, and organizations offering to set up in their lobby to earn books for a charity of their choice - or one you know of that needs books. Make sure you get the charity's approval. They'll be thrilled!

** Offer to set up for area churches and other religious centers as a bookfair, earning free books for their children's rooms, for their Preschool program, for mission needs, &/or Children's Bibles for their pews. There are lots of churches ready for your offer.

Be creative; think outside the box. There are so many places to find families that want & need our books and our home business opportunity.
GO FOR IT!
See how many events you can book TODAY (or tomorrow)!

What a difference a day can make in your business. Make it be what you'd like it to be.
ENJOY!
